The whole video is amazing the creativity put into this video is indescribable, and the acting is just plain out funny while still keeping a professional appearance. On top of that, the song was a #1 hit on the billboard charts.
My favorite part of this video is when the love below performs on stage.Furthermore, this video is universal in some ways and in other way it is not. All girls are not concieted like the girl in this video. Yet, television does premote anti-intellectualism like the music produces did in this video.
I love this whole video, ya in some parts they over exaggerate a little but that's what music videos do.. the themes are universal because they have the girl who thinks she is better than everybody, then the have the bullies, and the guys fighting over the girl, which we have all seen or experienced, so it is a for sure universal video..:)
this video is based on west side story! but it is also telling how girls are not suppose to act stuck up, like they ishh do not stink.... Something so beautiful can be extremely ugly, is what they mean when they say roses really smell like boo-boo

I love the cars in the video. I don't think that the theme is universal, because it doesn't fit all different types of life styles. As one of the other bloggers said, not all girls are like that. The hillbilly version is a great example of why the theme isn't universal. The girl in the hillbilly version was just that a hillbilly and everyone knows hillbillies are that rich.
My favorite part is when they say she should "Crash, Crash, Crash into a ditch. Just playin." Overall I like the whole video. And I do believe the themes are universal beacuse every social class has a snobby person.

I think the video is okay but the song is catchy. What i think the theme of this song is that Sometimes the outer beauty of something hides the ugliness of the inside the realness. We are so caught up on the beauty of someone that we become blind sited to notice their real aspects, the inner person.
my favorite part is when katt Williams in the end comes and takes the girl like if it was nothing. and its not universal because people shouldn't judge every girl just by one
