You can't just say that something is better than the original. I mean some songs are great when they first come out, but then someone just goes and covers the song and it's twice as amazing. You know, like "ridin dirty" and "white n nerdy". Lil wayne's "lollipop" and Dave days "lollipop". Everyone has a different opinion on what's better than what.
There is something about song perfomed by the original artist because the song is always compared to how it was first done. There is an inevitable feeling that you get when you here a song perfomed by the person who wrote it.
These guys that look like the Beatles are alright but you could never try and cover a "Legendary Band" and get it to be quite as amazing. Legendary bands are like...un-coverable if that makes any sense
Yes an original song is a track that was made from scratch with the own creativity of the its producer, it has been made a certain way by the producer because that the way it is meant to sound.While a cover is just a remake of song, and it will never sound as good as the original will
It just depends on what you like there are examples of great cover songs, poor examples of original songs, and vice versa. There is no definite answer to the question.
The originals tend to have the most emotion in them. Since they are the originals, they also tend to have certain qualities that a copy may never imitate... whether it is the voice or the instruments in the background.
Since i havent heard of this band... I still will stick the original because usually they play the songs better... Yet there is another senerio some of the cover ups of the songs they are much better than the original... All of the bands/singer they have their own taste of what music is...
I think that the original songs are the best. But also the song I hear first is the best. So which ever comes first makes me think they are the best. Also it shows how much people like the original artist to honor them with a copy.

The original is just that an original. Originals are the first copy, the blueprint for instance. A house needs only one blueprint and only that blueprint. Hence the originals are what make the rest look good, but originals are hard to find.
well i personally think that an original is better for the fact is that its the first one made. when you have like a remake or remix it could be good but never better then the first one made.

THe original is always better! because when other people try to do the same thing someone else already did.. its boring and has already been done. and sometimes they tend to mess the song or video up.
Original songs are great, but when someone remakes a classic and adds a modern twist and their own originality to it, it can attract an entirely new generation of people. When an artist covers a song, it is not so much ripping off an old idea, but paying tribute to those classic songs.
Although the original songs are difficult to cover, I believe that genuine and gifted artists can cover the song and make it into something that is just as good or better. I have come across a few beatles songs who were really good and then I hear a cover of it, and its just as great in its own unique way.
I'm a big fan of The Beatles and anyone that has tried to cover them hasn't done them justice. So covers suck but then Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan did covers of older songs and I love their versions better. It depends on the artist and your own musical taste and likes.

SOME SONGS THAT ARE THE ORIGINAL COVERS SHOULD STAY AS THEY ARE BUT SOMETIMES ALSO THE REMAKES OF THE SONGS CAN BE GOOD, THEY TRY TO MAKE IT MORE UNIQUE AND THEY USE DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS THAT GIVE THE SONG A DIFFERENT FEEL.

It depends on the generation and the individual. There are covers that fit perfectly for a generation and an audience. It all is preferences.
